Can you help us in Rocester?

Dear member,

In the bulletin that we sent out last Saturday, we included news that a demonstration is planned for Thursday, 24^th February at 11am at the JCB headquarters at Lakeside Works, Denstone, Rocester, Uttoxeter ST14 5JPV. As you live within an hours’ drive of that locality, I am writing to ask if you would be able to attend this demonstration to support Derby Friends of Hebron and help raise ICAHD UK’s profile. Our Chair, Monica Wusteman, will travel from York to be present and she will come equipped with ICAHD UK posters based on the wall projections that we did in central London.

We very much want to support this demonstration called by Derby Friends of Hebron considering the campaign that we have run for the last two years concerning JCB equipment that is used to demolish Palestinian homes. A summary of our campaign is found on our website.

The organisers say that there is on street parking available in Rocester village and then it is a five-minute walk via an underpass to the JCB site. Also know that the grounds are open to the public which guarantees access to the locality. During the peaceful demonstration, a letter will be handed to JCB calling for it to end sales of its equipment to Israel and to cease all support for Israel's demolitions of Palestinian homes, businesses, schools, and communities.

It will be helpful if you could let us know in advance if you can attend the demonstration – and feel free to bring others with you! JCB must know that this campaign will not go away. Please email info@icahduk.org with your response.
